Monterey Herald: For many octopus, the circle of life starts and ends near Monterey

I pitched and reported this article for the Monterey Herald. MBARI's media liaison reached out to me to see if I was interested in writing about their new research on the Octopus Garden, an octopus nesting site at hydrothermal springs at Davidson Seamount near Monterey. This story was heavily covered by national and local news outlets, but my story went into more depth than many others and pointed out to Monterey locals how unique and special it is to have this research powerhouse in their backyard.
