Idaho NSF EPSCoR: I-CREWS teams chart five-year plan at annual meeting

I covered an annual meeting for a $20 million grant that is just starting up. The project will involve dozens of investigators on multiple teams from across the state and is unique in that it is community-driven. Researchers are working alongside communities to decide what science needs to happen and to ensure that the work is not extractive. Tribes are also involved in the planning and execution and are bringing in alternative ways of thinking about and approaching scientific research.
